Having done quite a few carved car cakes recently in very sedate colours it was great to get this commission for a bright yellow BMW Z3M cake. The colour of the icing was nicely complemented by the customers choice of cake – a zingy lemon sponge with lemon buttercream.
The Z3M has a very low profile so we had to cut away quite a quantity of cake to make this model. Just to make sure that none of the guests went without we made an additional cutting cake in the same colours with a big BMW logo on the top.
